0101 Composition and World Literature I 9 CSU, UC
Stresses the fundamentals of the English language through the use of portfolios, which offers opportunities for the student to develop and refine his overall communication skills. The course is divided into four core areas of instruction: language, oral and written communication, vocabulary development, and a thematic survey of the literary genres. The writing process is developed through a strong literary canon with special attention given to sentence structure and variety. (Prereq: None)
