0123 Composition and World Literature II 10 CSU, UC
Continues to stress the fundamentals taught in the ninth grade and challenges the student to think and write logically and concisely through the use of portfolios. This course is also divided into four areas of instruction: language skills, oral and written communication, a continued thematic study of canonical literature and literature in translation, and the further development of vocabulary through the study of analogies. Emphasis is placed upon paragraph strategies and structures. (Prereq: Successful completion of Comp/Lit I)
