0135 AP English Language and Composition 11 CSU, UC
An alternative for the eleventh grade student, it trains the student to be a skilled reader of prose and poetry written during various historical and literary epochs--though its primary focus is the American character and the American Dream. By taking the course, the student may then challenge himself in the AP exam in May for the College Board. (Prereq: Admission granted to students who fulfill the following: meeting application deadlines, B+ grade for both freshmen and sophomore English and social studies classes, a minimum combined PLAN score of 21, and teacher recommendation. Above are reviewed during the 10th grade.)
