0147 British Literature and Composition IA 12 CSU, UC
This course continues to refine and develop those skills introduced and emphasized during the previous years. It surveys a core of British literature to serve as a summation and emphasis of all literary concepts from the ninth, tenth and eleventh grades. This course utilizes school-wide electronic portfolios as well as project-based assignments to prepare all students for college and the workplace; and it accomplishes these goals at a pace based on individual student needs. Ultimately, the various activities in this class develop students’ reading comprehension, writing skills through the writing process, and listening and speaking skills. (Prereq: Successful completion of Composition and World Literature I or Composition and World Literature IA, Composition and World Literature II or Composition and World Literature IIA, and American Literature/Composition or American Literature/Composition IA)
