This year long Advanced Placement course provides a systematic introduction
to the main principles of physics and emphasizes the development of
problem solving ability. It is a science elective designed for the 12th
grade student. Five major conceptual sections are covered in this course:
mechanics, fluid mechanics and thermal physics, electricity and magnetism,
waves and optics, and atomic and nuclear physics. (Prereq: Concurrent
enrollment in Mathematics class higher than Algebra 2; minimum of “B”
in Chemistry; and, Department approval)
